Refund Policy

1.1 This Refund Policy describes the 14-day free trial that Søren Johanson (hereinafter "Provider") offers on new subscriptions to the RecoveryCodes Software-as-a-Service (hereinafter "Service") purchased through the Provider's website, and the discretionary refund window that applies to paid Transactions. After the trial converts into a paid subscription, the cancellation provisions of the General Terms and Conditions determine when the subscription ends.

1.2 This policy is offered in addition to, and does not replace, the General Terms and Conditions of the Provider or any statutory rights that may apply to the Client. In the event of a conflict between this Refund Policy and a mandatory statutory right granted to the Client, the statutory right prevails.

1.3 Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record. Refunds are issued by the Provider through Paddle to the original payment method used for the purchase.

2.1 The Provider grants every Client a 14-day free trial on the initial subscription to the Service. No payment is required to start the trial and no card details are collected at sign-up. During the trial the Client has full access to the Service.

2.2 If the Client adds payment details during the trial, the free trial ends immediately and the Client's paid subscription starts at that time. Adding payment details constitutes the Client's authorization to be charged immediately for the selected plan.

2.3 If the Client does not add payment details before the trial expires, the trial ends automatically and no charge is made. The free trial covers only the initial sign-up; additional trials of the same plan after a previous trial or paid subscription are not offered.

3.1 To end the free trial before it expires, the Client may delete their RecoveryCodes account at any time from the account settings. Because no payment has been taken during the trial, no refund is required and no further action is needed.

3.2 Deleting the account before adding payment details ends the trial without any charge. If the Client has already added payment details, the trial has ended and the refund terms for paid Transactions apply. Data is retained or deleted in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.

4.1 The Provider may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund if a request is submitted within 14 days of the Transaction date. Submission of a request within this 14-day period does not guarantee a refund.

4.2 If the Client believes a charge was made in error (for example a duplicate charge, or a charge made after the account had already been deleted), the Client should contact the Provider without undue delay at support@recoverycodes.eu. Charges made in error are reversed through Paddle to the original payment method.

4.3 A second subscription after a previous trial or paid subscription is no longer eligible for the 14-day free trial.

The Service is offered exclusively to businesses acting in their commercial or professional capacity. The Provider does not contract with consumers, and statutory consumer protection rights, including the statutory right of withdrawal, do not apply to any subscription to the Service. By starting the free trial or subscribing to a paid plan, the Client confirms that they are acting in a business capacity.
